Gear

End of November is pretty much the beginning of summer in this part of the globe. While temperatures are high in most of the country a winter like climate is awaiting us at the peaks of Andes. So, other than my regular riding gear I also have to pack

- rain gear
- extra set of gloves
- some kind of a toque or ear muffs

Each one of us is also bringing a tent, sleeping bag and a mattress in case we decide to camp along the way. Most of the time we will stay at hotels though. All this to say that I have to pack two suitcases instead of one.

What we'll do is leave the suitcases with my family in Buenos Aires. As you can see on the previous page each bike has 3 panniers (boxes for storage). I'm also planning to strap my duffle bag with all the camping equipment on the back seat of the bike.
